ReMAP is an ongoing H2020 project, which has started on the 1st June 2018 and will be active until the 31st May 2022. ReMAP will contribute to reinforcing European leadership in aeronautics by developing an open-source Integrated Fleet Health Management (IFHM) solution for aircraft maintenance. The project addresses the specific challenge to take a step forward into the adoption of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) in the aviation sector.
During the 6 first months of ReMAP, Work package 3, led by CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES (CTEC), has analysed requirements for a Lamb Waves Detection System (LWDS), reviewing bibliography on Lamb Waves (LW) and defining the LWDS technical specifications. The High Frequency (HF) pulse echo acousto-ultrasonic technique to be followed in ReMAP, allows each piezoelectric transmitter patch to act as either an emitter or a receiver of LW.
