CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES has developed several types of piezoelectric actuators and magnetic actuators especially adapted to Active Control of Vibration, Active Control of Noise, Active Isolation, Active or semi-active damping, Shock absorbers, etc.
Some actuators, such as piezoelectric actuators, are available as full standard or customised actuators. Other actuators, such as new magnetic actuators are available as customised solutions. Proof-mass actuators based on a standard actuator and an additional guided moving mass are typical customisations dedicated to anti-vibration, presented among the examples given herefater.
CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES has also developed complete systems including actuators, sensors and control electronics for vibration control. A famous example is the damping of ski vibrations. In this application, vibrations up to 80mm amplitude are actively cancelled using the CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES' actuators and control electronics.

CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES, in collaboration with a large industrial group, has developed an Active Damper. The active damper aims at increasing the performances of damping ratio while being compatible in terms of interface and cost expectations.
Active brake, shock absorber, vibration damping
The UC75 is a powerful real time numerical controler based on the CompactRIO controller from NI. Thanks to 8 independant FPGAs, it is fast enough for performing active control of vibrations of structure by controlling up to 8 piezoelectric or magnetic actuators. The UC75 is compatible with the LA75 Linear Amplifier suite from CEDRAT.
